Duncan has over 25 years of experience working closely with CTOs and CIOs to digitally transform a wide range of industries through: business process re-engineering and data digitization; web enabled solutions for e-commerce; direct-to-consumer public sector service delivery systems and solutions; radical IT restructuring; transformative business process automation; the establishment of highly intelligent structures such as “intelligent” hospitals and prisons; manufacturing robotics, including automated robotic warehousing and inventory management; and, data processing restructuring through SaaS, DaaS and Cloud solutions.
Most recently, Duncan was retained by Canada’s Ministry of Defence and Canada’s Department of Justice to serve as the Chief Counsel on the 2.5 year $22 Billion project to transform the Canadian Airforce’s fleet of legacy fighter jets to next the generation of advanced aircraft ( F-35 Lightening II ), maintenance solutions, training infrastructure and integration with allied command solutions. As well, from 2019-2022, Duncan was also the lead technology counsel assigned by the Bank of Canada and the Ministry of Finance in Canada ( through Payments Canada’s Modernization Program ) to radically transform Canada’s entire financial services infrastructure related to payments, settlement and clearing toward establishing a real-time rail solution.
Well over 100 of Duncan’s digital transformation mandates have involved complex cross border solutions, both within multinational affiliate enterprises, for global commerce solutions, and to consolidate back-office shared service infrastructures into global Centers of Excellence within dedicated jurisdictions.
